- My name is Cindy S. both of my children attended Eagan Montessori and Childcare. My son attended the school from Spring of 2003 to the Spring of 2005 and my daughter attended from the Spring of 2005 to the Spring of 2007. I am confident that Eagan Montessori has helped my children prepare for elementary eduction by teaching such things as reading and writing skills, beginning math, counting, shapes and practical life experiences, among other things. Both my son and daughter received their first hands-on experience with computers and my daughter enjoyed "Dancercise" class in which she learned about physical fitness along with the other children and they both made many new friends.
As a family we have very much enjoyed the adorable Christmas Program that is put on each year, the Graduation Party for the upcoming Kindergartners, and the Dancercise recitals. This has helped make many video recorded moments that we will enjoy for years to come.

- Our two boys have been in daycare most of their lives (two working parents). Our experience of early daycare facilities made us realize that the teachers were definitely the most important piece of the equation. When our first child was almost 3 however, we felt we needed to feel confident in the educational-style of the facility as well. My husband was an education major, and had always admired the Montessori program. (Most only offered the programs around 3 or potty-trained - that has changed at Eagan Montessori now). We began interviewing day care facilities for the better part of three days - most of them Montessori style. When we reviewed notes it was obvious what our choice would be. Eagan Montessori showed us an environment in which kids were singing, playing with numbers, puzzles, sorting games, all the basic elements of Montessori with one big difference over the others - the kids were notably happy, the teachers were involved, and there were many smiles. There was a buzz of activity and warmth in the room. It was a structured atmosphere, but we also felt flexibility from the teachers and Director, and a feeling that our individual comments about our children's needs were heard and remembered.
After the first day (and a pre-visit!), we knew we had made the right choice. Our son Alec spent 3 years at Eagan Montessori, and when it was time to send Gregory, he looked forward to going (quite the accomplishment considering who shy he is). I can honestly tell you that I never had to "fight" our kids to go to "school". They liked going - they had fun.
We have met so many wonderful teachers at this school. They genuinely care about the kids. There is always communication with us about what they did that day, and how they were doing overall. We received meaningful updates in scheduled "conferences" that showed us both what had been worked on with our child, and what had been accomplished and improved. Our kids entered kindergarten with a great advantage, they had advanced abilities and awareness with numbers, letters, shapes, colors, etc.

- Our son Dylan has been attending Eagan Montessori School since he was 3 years old. Just this fall he will be leaving Eagan Montessori School to go into Kindergarten. We are sad that his time at Eagan Montessori si at an end.
Since Dylan started at Eagan Montessori, he has come a long way. His manners improved, his social skills together with his academic knowledge saw drastic improvements. Dylan can read, write and do basic math like addition, subtraction and multiplication at a level way above the normal kindergartner can. We can rest assured that he is totally prepared for kindergarten both academically and socially.
We are very grateful to all the teachers at Eagan Montessori. We especially recognize Mickey Crain who has been with the school for almost 18 years. She is fantastic teacher and director.

- We are getting ready to leave for India. It has been several years since we left India to come here to the United States. But now it is time to go back home and begin a life there with our son Akhil.
Akhil has been a student at Eagan Montessori School since he was 3 years old. He could barely speak any English let alone understand English. With the help of the teachers at Eagan Montessori Akhil managed to learn English well. The teachers always insisted that it was the Montessori method of education which did the trick. The teachers said that they were only facilitators of the educational method.
The Montessori method of education is well recognized in Europe and Asia. It is well documented that most children that go to Montessori schools do very well in life both academically and socially. They are taught in such a way that children learn to become children learn to correct themselves when they make mistakes. This is the reason we picked a Montessori School for our son, Akhil. We know now that we made the best choice for him.
Eagan Montessori did wonders for our son Akhil. Although he was going into first grade here this fall, in India he tested so well that we will be starting him at second grade there. We are very grateful to all the teachers at Eagan Montessori.
