Meet our Music Teacher
My name is Ms. Ellie, MT-BC and I am a board certified music therapist! With over ten years of experience in early childhood, I am grateful for the opportunity to create music with your little one. Throughout each music session, we will learn about musical concepts through instrument exploration, song play, movement play, and literacy experiences. These musical
interventions will also provide us with opportunities to practice our non-musical skills including motor skills, academic skills, socialization skills, and communication skills.
Sign Language
At EMA, we’re passionate about teaching our kids American Sign Language (ASL). Our sign language teacher, Ms. Cheryl, has years of experience in ASL teaching, and she makes learning sign language fun, interactive, and accessible for the children. If you’re a parent looking to introduce your child to this expressive language, you’ve come to the right place.
Spanish
It's amazing to see how each child develops the ability to translate sounds into meaningful language. Children's developing brains enable them to understand language as they hear and learn to mimic sounds. They also learn that specific words and sounds have important relationships with one another. Early childhood is therefore the best period to expose all children to a second language.
Regular Spanish lessons are available to our infant, toddler and preschool programs at Eagan Montessori Academy.
We include Spanish into our play and circle time routines on a regular basis. We attempt to include play and discovery into our Spanish sessions so that your child can try out new words, sentences, and sounds and have more fun learning Spanish.
